At FORM, all of our cabinets are made-to-order and are delivered pre-assembled, which is unlike a lot of suppliers. There are many reasons we do so. Have a read below and see why pre-assembled is the way to go.

First and foremost, our pre-assembled cabinets can be a breeze to install, as opposed to flatpack, which requires additional assembly. A quicker and easier installation means lower labor costs. So make sure to look at the full budget picture, including the cabinets as well as the labor, when comparing suppliers.

The other benefit of pre-assembled cabinets is that there’s less that can go wrong during fitting.

You aren’t sent a collection of panels that need to be fitted together (there is more skill involved in doing this well than one would think). Instead, you receive full units that simply need the fronts to be clipped on, with some basic adjustments.

Pre-assembled units are perfectly aligned and stress-tested in factory conditions, which is exactly what our German manufacturing partner does. They are precision engineered by skilled workers using highly sophisticated machinery, and undergo strict quality control procedures before shipping. The factory that supplies us has been running successfully for 70 years, so they know a thing or two about quality.

Because of this, pre-assembled cabinets come with lengthy guarantees. Ours is a whopping 25 years. In most cases, flatpack does not come anywhere near this promise.

You might be thinking that a 25-year guarantee is more than you need, because it’s possible you’ll move home again within 5-10 years. Keep in mind that a quality kitchen is an investment. Prospective homebuyers will value it over a cheaper kitchen, which will start showing signs of wear and tear in a matter of years.

Our cabinets will also keep their shape, the drawers will not sag, and the doors will keep on running smoothly — year after year after year.

Finally, don’t forget that flatpack = a limited range of design options. Made-to-order and fully assembled with FORM means the freedom to design beyond a narrow product range. This includes special solutions for tricky spaces, and a wealth of practical units to make your space work harder for you.

"We believe that good design improves people's lives. We focus on personalization, performance, and peace of mind."
