As cliche as it sounds, the kitchen is truly the heart of the home. We spend a lot of time in that space, making meals and sharing precious moments with our nearest and dearest. A functionally designed kitchen can significantly improve how we use our kitchens, and this is where a kitchen designer can be of great assistance. Here are some advantages to working with a kitchen designer.

Matt and Ben live in New York, and were renovating their upstate home that had an overall modern vibe, but a kitchen that felt traditional and firmly rooted in a 1990s aesthetic. They wanted a modern, minimal feel, and a space that could easily be clutter-free and support how they wanted to live in the kitchen.

Kendra Feeney started her career as a medical doctor. She made the transition to interior designer after doing her own house flip and falling in love with the design process. It turns out the move from doctor to designer is a pretty seamless one, both are about careful listening and problem-solving. She now runs Brick House Designs in the Philadelphia area and specializes in residential work. She recently used FORM for a project she did for a former med school classmate who wanted a modern kitchen with sleek lines and bright pops of color.

We want FORM to be the most convenient way to buy a kitchen. To make that possible, we’re working to have best-in-class logistics for our customers. It’s a big balance of forces – global and local delivery, supply chain, and more – but we’re here to do our part to make it best for our customers.

Check out this tour of one of our newest projects just outside of Seattle. Our clients Chad and Trisha bought an older home with the intention of putting their full stamp on it. They wanted plenty of storage, an airy feel, a modern look, and a layout and flow that allowed them to do what they enjoy most, entertain.
We didn’t bring kitchen design online just to eliminate the showroom markup. We saw it as an opportunity to bring more convenience to our clients, streamline the end-to-end experience, and ultimately create the most personalized design process – for both our homeowners and our designers.
At FORM, we work with German-engineered cabinetry that’s backed by 80 years of manufacturing experience. But when you work with FORM, you get more than just best-in-class cabinetry at competitive pricing.
At FORM, we spent a lot of time thinking through the end-to-end customer experience to make sure it was the most convenient, seamless, and intuitive way to design and buy a new kitchen. Check out the video below.

This is the classic American kitchen, a perennial favorite that can be found in homes all across the country. It is easy to like, because of just how familiar it is. The Shaker kitchen has connotations with the Traditional style. Although many homeowners appreciate this, others struggle to successfully conceptualise a Shaker kitchen design that still feels current.

Wondering how to create a timeless flat panel kitchen? This is a question we get a lot. On the one hand, you want your kitchen to feel current. On the other hand, you don’t want it to feel too current. The distinction between trends and simply good design is not always immediately obvious. We think about this a lot and want to share our thoughts with you.

2021 will see a (much-needed) return to warmth in the home, with a full embrace of a softer, more relaxed aesthetic. We’re excited to go beyond the stark, modern lines that have adorned the pages of design publications these past few years. It’s fair to say, we’re all craving homier vibes right now.

Joe Sasto has done a lot in a little amount of time. He’s cooked at San Francisco’s top restaurants (including Quince and Lazy Bear). He participated in two seasons of Top Chef on Bravo, where he made memorably ingenious dishes. He launched his own culinary business (we highly, highly recommend his online cooking courses; they’re great for the everyday chef). And he even found time with the FORM team -- over his signature morning coffee beverage -- to talk about his kitchen thoughts, tips, and rituals. Enjoy!

Justin Kerr is a self-described “efficiency monster,” and it is a well-earned title. Justin was one of the youngest senior execs at multiple billion-dollar apparel brands, all while he wrote 14 books, toured the country with his rock band, and tended to a population of 100,000 bees on his roof. His latest book, How to cry at work, was just published in July.

Most people embarking on a kitchen renovation journey would have heard of the kitchen work triangle. Essentially, it is a design rule that has traditionally been used when designing the layout of a kitchen, revolving around three key work stations in the space: sink, cooker and refrigerator. It is about their relative positioning, and the distances between them.

For most people, the kitchen is perhaps the only true ‘workspace’ in the house. Which means your kitchen is one of the few places in your home that needs to be as functional as it is beautiful. Each aspect of its design should help you prepare meals, connect with the people you care about, and support your ever changing lifestyle. If this sounds overwhelming, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered.
It's a 25-minute chat. Once we know a little bit about what you're looking for, we can see if we're the right fit for you.
