A Spacious, Sleek, and Stunning Kitchen Outside of Philadelphia.

Our clients, Josh and Brad, design and renovate stunning properties for a living, and took on a large estate estate outside of Philadelphia that was built in the 1980s. They wanted to modernize the space with a sleek kitchen that catered to their love of seamless design and hanging out with friends and family. Take a tour.

A Spacious, Sleek, and Stunning Kitchen Outside of Philadelphia. intro

What were you looking for
in your kitchen renovation?

When we purchased this house, we had our work cut out for us. The dramatic “edge” house has soaring ceilings and massive oversized windows in the kitchen looking out over the lush property. The entire house inside and out needed an extensive renovation, and the kitchen was no exception. The original kitchen was installed in the 1980’s and you could tell... It needed a complete facelift and that’s exactly what we gave it!

I wanted to create a kitchen that was edgy, modern, and a focal point for the entire house. The original island was small and an awkward shape for the grandeur of the space.   With the help of our designer, we created an oversized island in the center of the kitchen which I couldn’t be happier with! Everyone who has walked into the kitchen has been shocked by just how substantial and functional the island is.

What do you love to do in your kitchen?

Although we are both foodies including our Pitbull, Graice, our favorite thing to do in the kitchen is hang out with friends and family. Having coffee and breakfast in the morning at the island while Gracie sun baths and occasionally seeing a fox or deer trotting along is a really great way to start the day.

One of the things I love the most about our new kitchen is all the different, practical storage options.

What are your favorite features?

My vision was to have the cabinets be flush without handles, even for the refrigerator and freezer! Instead of just having all the cabinets one color, our designer helped us to select two different colored materials, which blended seamlessly. One of the things I love the most about our new kitchen is all the different, practical storage options. You can’t say you don’t have enough storage in this kitchen!

What advice would you give to someone renovating a kitchen?

My advice for anyone renovating a kitchen is to create a space that is functional but also is a representation of your personal style. We all spend so much time in the kitchen that it should be a space that you really enjoy being in!
