Peace and Quiet in the Pacific North-West intro

The phrase “if you want something done, ask a busy person” perfectly sums up Brooke and Tyler as a couple. Together, guided by an experienced uncle and a friend's praise for FORM Kitchens, they built an exceptional family home in just 7 months. All this, while parenting four children and managing their day jobs. Needless to say, this couple is a combined powerhouse of organization, vision and practical ingenuity.

Simplicity has a Feeling

Building a house from scratch is not for the faint-hearted, but the challenge of creating a space for their growing family was an exciting endeavor for the couple. “Our first house designs came to life with a wall of windows around the main living area, just to have that really open feel. We wanted to get as much natural light as possible. We love the Scandinavian style and FORM cabinets were a beautiful addition to the space" she reflects.

“I like Scandinavian style and FORM cabinets were a beautiful addition to the space.”

Designing with FORM Experts

The collaboration with FORM’s Designers was a standout experience for Brooke and Tyler. The detailed planning, 3D visuals, and expert guidance provided a clear vision of what their kitchen would look like. This process was not just about style but also about ensuring functionality and flow, as Brooke emphasized the importance of working with someone who understood their needs and could bring their ideas to life.

We were excited to work with a FORM designer to create a beautiful and organized space.

Brooke’s kitchen combination:

- Counters - Brooke and Tyler sourced Corian

Practically Perfect

The kitchen's practicality shines through in its details, such as the sturdy metal drawers and an innovative garbage can solution. “I really love the garbage can design,' Brooke beams, ’The pull out rails make it so easy to clean, and I love the space above for replacement liners. “ She and the family have really celebrated making life simpler - a testament to the kitchen's seamless design, soft-close drawers and the integration of sleek, good looks with high-performance functionality.

I had seen sleek FORM kitchens, where you don't notice the appliances - that’s what I wanted.

Everyday luxury, within Budget

Premium design doesn't have to break the bank. This kitchen project showcases how high-end performance, style and good planning can be achieved affordably.  Brooke says, “we have just really enjoyed our new space, it feels better than we even imagined". This sentiment captures the essence of FORM’s commitment to making daily routines feel like a luxury experience. The easy to clean design and the enduring performance of the cabinets reinforces the notion that investing in quality pays off in the long run.

It feels better than we even imagined.

The Business of Family

The family's hands-on approach has brought a unique character to their project. Handling tasks like electrical work, flooring, and notably, the installation of the kitchen, Tyler's precision and attention to detail were crucial. This DIY spirit extends to Brooke’s own business - designing and selling beautiful children’s wear. Like her kitchen, Brooke’s Bright and Tiny online venture is rooted in simplicity, with a strong eye for good design that stands up to the rigors of everyday life.

We believe in simplicity. Simple styles, fabrics, patterns. Simple everything.

A Place to Gather

And family gatherings are simpler now too. The kitchen has proved to be the perfect setting for togetherness during the family's first Christmas in their new home. "We were able to sit all 12 adults at the dining table... and then there were six kids at the counter and a full table of little kids," they shared. The couple’s FORM kitchen really has become a central hub for family life and a workspace for their next project and future ambitions.

FORM was delighted to be part of this chapter and wishes this family every success for the next one.

We have definitely recommended FORM to our friends and family. One of our friends just had their first design call and we are so excited to see what they create for their new home.
